SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Schenectady Police Department announced it is investigating a stabbing that happened on Tuesday around 9:47 p.m. It happened near State Street and Veeder Avenue.

Police say they responded to the area and found a 45-year-old man with a puncture wound to his abdomen. Officers report that from there the victim was moved to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The police department asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact its tip line at (518) 788-6566. The investigation is active and ongoing.
