Scattered Tropical Showers & Rumbles Still Possible Across East Coast of Florida
10/23/24 10:35am ET
Good morning everyone. Quiet conditions persist in the Northeast aside from a small sliver in parts of New York & Pennsylvania, but we’ll get into that in the minute. Elsewhere, we have mostly sunny and mild conditions, with one more day of 70’s across the coastal plain. Starting tomorrow we sink into the 60’s, then 50’s by Sunday as cool air gives us a quick showing.
That front responsible for our cooldown tomorrow, with help flare up a narrow line of heavy gusty showers and thunderstorms across parts of western New York, northwest Pennsylvania, and northeast Ohio. We are not expecting any severe weather, but we could still see some strong winds, small hail, and brief heavy rain later this afternoon into the evening hours.
Down in Florida, we still have some scattered heavy tropical showers and thunderstorms coming ashore with that stubborn easterly flow off of our tropical energy. Look for scattered brief heavy rain and rumbles along parts of the east coast, with enhanced tides still causing some minor coastal flooding.
