Man arrested after punching victim in face at a Denny’s in Clovis, police say

CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been arrested after punching a victim in the face leaving him unconscious on Tuesday night at a Denny’s in Clovis, the city’s police department announced.

Police say at 11:38 p.m. officers responded to the Denny’s on Shaw and Willow avenues for a physical disturbance.

According to police, the suspect was walking by the tables with his family when the other man who was sitting alone at a table, said something to the suspect.

The suspect returned to where the victim was now standing, and he then punched the victim in the face, according to police.

Police say, the punch caused the victim to fall back and hit his head. The victim was unconscious when police arrived.

Clovis Police says the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

According to the police department, 23-year-old, Angel Limon of Clovis was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for suspicion of aggravated battery causing great bodily injury and violation of probation.
