2 involved in Graham road rage shooting on Interstate 40, police say

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — Graham police say charges could be forthcoming after a road rage shooting on Wednesday.

At 1:42 p.m., Graham officers responded to the area of Interstate 40 at Exit 150 when they were told about a shooting between two vehicles, according to a Graham Police Department news release.

One of the people involved was found at the Loves Truck stop just off I-40 on Trollingwood Hawfields Road.

Investigators were able to identify and locate the second person involved at a home in Mebane.

Investigators say the shooting was the result of road rage that first started near Exit 140 and University Drive in Burlington.

The road rage continued on the interstate and into the Graham. Both people involved shot at each other, police say.

No one was seriously injured.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges may be forthcoming.
