A Canadian-based distillery that was set to start construction in Harborcreek township has seen delays in work beginning, but all signs are pointing to a groundbreaking in the near future.
The delay in construction for the Artist in Residence Distillerie (AIR Distillery) was due to the completion of another one of their project in Ontario.

Township supervisors expect them to head to the United States shortly after it’s concluded and said they’ve met every requirement to start working on the property.
“We really think that this is going to be a destination for many travelers and also the local municipalities throughout Erie County. It’s going to be a major attraction and hopefully that spurs more interchange development,” said Tim May, Harborcreek Township supervisor.
May added this would likely be a three to five-year project starting with production, warehousing and then retail amenities.
