Evansville armed robbery suspect pleads guilty

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A man pleads guilty in an Evansville armed robbery case.

Thendis Compton accepted a plea deal that removed one of the charges of armed robbery he faced.

He will be sentenced on November 15 on a lesser armed robbery charge and two counts of intimidation. Investigators say on January 24, a man with a gun went into a home on East Division Street and forced everyone into the kitchen.

Police say that man took the victim’s purse and safe, and Compton was hanging out with the victim when the robbery happened. They say text messages were later found between Compton and Kelsey Jackson, allegedly planning the robbery.

Jackson was also arrested and is facing the same charges. Her next court appearance is December 2.
