An allegedly intoxicated man who was with his young daughter at a Virginia Wawa was arrested on Wednesday morning, police say.
Harrison George Brown, 37, of Bealeton, was taken into custody shortly after midnight when officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to Wawa on Nokesville Road in Manassas following reports of an intoxicated person in the area.
Investigators say that upon arrival, they found Brown in the area inside a vehicle with his 4-year-old.
While speaking with him, it was determined he was under the influence, and when officers initially attempted to detain him, he resisted, before being secured without further incident.
The child was uninjured and released to the custody of “known parties.”
Brown was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with felony child neglect, DUI, and obstruction of justice.
His bond was set at $1,500 secured and his initial court date was pending later on Wednesday afternoon.
