ALEA: Pursuit with Russel Co. Sheriff’s Office ends in deadly motorcycle crash

LEE COUNTY, Ala. ( WRBL ) — A pursuit with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office ended in a deadly crash on Tuesday evening, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Caleb Brown, 24, of Salem, was pronounced dead on the scene after his motorcycle struck a tree.

ALEA says Brown was trying to elude a deputy with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office before the crash. The pursuit began in Russell County, with the crash happening on Lee County 401 about six miles south from Salem.
