SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Schaghticoke man on Friday in connection with a narcotics investigation. Akim A. Green, 48, is facing multiple charges.

Deputies said the investigation focused on fentanyl sales led to Green’s multiple charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon. Deputies arrested Green while searching 336 Hudson Ave. in Schaghticoke after finding over 215 grams of cocaine and fentanyl, three high-capacity magazines, a shotgun, money, packaging materials, and scales.
Green was arraigned in Schaghticoke Town Court and remains in Rensselaer County Jail without bail. Green also has been convicted of two drug-related felonies before his arrest on Friday.
