Accounts of Lowndes County Sheriff’s killing differ during closing arguments

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WSFA) – The defense and the prosecution gave closing statements Wednesday in the capital murder trial of defendant William Chase Johnson. The state began by declaring that Johnson was the aggressor in the deadly conflict between himself and Lowndes County Sheriff John “Big John” Williams on the night of Nov. 23, 2019.
