Precautionary boil water notice issued for Holmes Beach

HOLMES BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A precautionary boil water notice has been issued by the Manatee County Utilities Department for the north end of the island.

Between 42nd and the north end, customers are advised to boil all water used for drinking or cooking once service is restored.

The water boil notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe, according to the Manatee County Utilities Department.

If residents have any questions they can call 941-792-8811 extension: 5268 or 5216 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The notice may last 24 to 48 hours. Manatee County Utilities stated a rescission notice will be issued when lifted.
