OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — A men’s addiction recovery center in Owensboro has officially cut the ribbon on a new transition wing. The Boulware Mission says they’ve been testing out the $280,000 facility for about a year and are proud of what it means for the future of those who leave treatment.
The Boulware Mission says men who complete their addiction recovery program can work a full-time job offsite and have their own space, for just $100 a week. Officials say a huge challenge for clients has been budgeting.
“…how expensive it is to get an apartment, pay the utilities, buy your food, manage a car payment, car insurance. We do that practice. They all have a budget and have a savings account and must be saving money in order to get to transition,” says Dr, RonSonlyn Clark, the facility’s Clinical Director.
