WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it arrested a man who they believe assaulted multiple women while walking in Northwest D.C.
Just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a woman told officers she was assaulted in the 1300 block of Irving Street NW. Officers noticed 33-year-old Ayotomiwa Babalola trying to run away, but they managed to stop him.
He was charged with Simple Assault for that incident but was connected to and charged with five other offenses that happened on Monday, Oct. 21.

At about 9 a.m., a teenage girl was walking in the 3100 block of 14th Street NW when MPD said Babalola approached her and touched her without her consent.
At about 10:25 a.m., a woman was walking in the 1300 block of L Street NW when the suspect approached her and touched her without her consent.
The same happened to another woman just minutes later at 10:28 a.m. at 13th and K streets NW.
At 11 a.m., a woman was walking in the 3000 block of F Street NW when he approached her and touched her without her consent, too.
