(WHTM) — Law school is already a huge expense and professional clothing just adds to the price tag.
Now a Midstate law school is taking some financial stress off its students’ with a brand-new ‘Professional Closet’ on campus.
“I think it’s something that we desperately needed,” said Alyse Thompson, a 2nd year student at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Dauphin County.

A ribbon cutting for the “Phi Alpha Delta Professional Closet” was held Wednesday afternoon.
“It is a free professional wear closet for all law students at Widener Law Commonwealth,” Nicholas Kahler, Justice for Phi Alpha Delta, said.
Kahler and some of his peers came up with the idea to bring a professional closet to campus over the summer.
“We saw the need on campus for this,” said Kira Meager, Phi Alpha Delta’s Treasurer. “You know, having been in a profession where, you know, going into the courtroom requires a jacket, but knowing that the expense is so great for these items, we saw that, you know, there is a need.”
