FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — Newly released video shows the moment a mother and her “healthy baby girl” emerge from the rescue truck she gave birth in while on the way to a Florida hospital.

On Tuesday, Jade Turner was en route to a Fort Lauderdale hospital , being driven by her sister, when her water broke. They pulled off to the side of the road and called 911.

“When I saw that the cars were backed up from the bridge I was like, ‘I’m not going to make it,’” Turner said.

When Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived, they got the mother-to-be into the ambulance, just in time for her to give birth. Her baby was born as the rescue truck was being escorted to Broward Health Medical Center, down the wrong side of Davie Boulevard.

The video shows fire crews pull the stretcher out of the ambulance, as the healthy baby girl, named Jenesis, is heard crying.
