Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds suffers ‘minor injuries’ as victim in Denver shooting

Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting last Friday on Interstate 25 in Denver and sustained “minor injuries,” the team said Thursday.

Reynolds, who is on injured reserve due to a fractured finger suffered Oct. 6 against Las Vegas, has been at Broncos Park this week observing practice. Denver Police announced that two suspects have been arrested in the shooting.

“Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries,’’ the Broncos said in a statement. “Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”

According to 9News, which cited court documents, Reynolds was shot twice, once in his left arm and once in the back of his head while in a vehicle that was followed from Shotgun Willie’s, a strip club in Glendale. According to the report, another man in the vehicle was shot in the back and another victim suffered an injury from shattered glass. Denver police announced there were two victims in the car that “were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.”
