Robert Saleh finds work less than 3 weeks after being terminated by Jets

Fired New York Jets ‘ head coach Robert Saleh was spotted in quarterback Aaron Rodgers’s old stomping ground on Wednesday.

Multiple reporters shared video clips showing Saleh at Green Bay Packers ‘ practice, and it wasn’t only a one-day visit. Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur, who is close personal friends with Saleh, is helping the unemployed defensive guru land on his feet.

“We’ve been close for a really long time. We were roommates together back at Central Michigan,” said LaFleur.

In his sixth year as Green Bay’s bench boss, LaFleur has officially brought Saleh on board in a consulting role for the remainder of the season although his work hours will be flexible.

“It’s pretty fluid. I think it’s important, too, for him to spend time with his family. He’s staying through Thursday and going back on Friday,” said LaFleur.

As for Saleh’s specific responsibilities, the former San Francisco 49ers ‘ defensive coordinator will help prepare the Packers’ offense to face opposing defenses.
