CUDAHY, Wis. (WFRV) — Two Wisconsin men were arrested Thursday morning following reports of gunfire near an elementary school.
The Cudahy Police Department received multiple 911 calls around 5:00 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2024, reporting shots fired in the 3600 block of E. Iona Terrace in Cudahy.
Due to the proximity to JE Jones Elementary School, district officials delayed the start of the school day and notified parents.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 25-year-old West Allis man, who was one of the 911 callers, reported being shot at near the location.
The investigation revealed the man had allegedly been damaging a vehicle owned by a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, who then fired multiple shots during the incident.
Further inquiries found that the incident was related to domestic violence. The West Allis man was reportedly stalking a 25-year-old woman from Cudahy at the time. No injuries were reported.
