Isaiah House opens first-of-its-kind Community Health Center in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A first-of-its-kind facility in Lexington is now accessible to all Kentuckians, marking a huge milestone for the Isaiah House for those experiencing homelessness.

Trisha Goode, a registered nurse for the Isaiah House said “What do you have to lose? Except your life. If you don’t ask for help and your life is worth living. Everyone deserves to be here and be healthy and surrounded by people that will support you and love you back.”

Services at the new facility include primary care, counseling, parenting classes, intensive outpatient programs, dental services, and on-site pharmacies, per Isaiah House staff.

“I am also in recovery. So, I started out with Isaiah House as a client and went through their treatment program and started working for them right after I got out of treatment. they also helped me get my nursing license back because I had lost that. At the end of my addiction, you know, I felt really hopeless. Like there wasn’t there wasn’t an answer, but there is an answer, and all you have to do is ask for help, which you’re really, really scared to do. but I asked for help, and I got that. And anybody can do it. You got to start somewhere,” said Goode.
