ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The race to help a beluga whale wrapped up in an unknown material is ramping up. Officials with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries have collaborated with multiple partners to monitor and safely respond in efforts to disentangle a seven-year-old beluga whale spotted near the Don Young Port of Alaska.
