This is such a classic cookie. I don’t know many who have never tried a snickerdoodle cookie before. They’re a perfectly sweet and slightly tangy cookie, rolled in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and baked. We love them crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, and we belive that this recipe is the best one we’ve had so far! This is all you need to make this super easy recipe of about 15-20 medium sized cookies:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 3/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbl cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar for about 4-5 minutes until it’s light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then add eggs and vanilla extract. Continue mixing for an additional 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Gradually mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, stirring until just combined. In a separate smaller bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
