It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the Christkindlmarket is back for its 28th season, bringing holiday magic to Chicago’s Daley Plaza and Aurora’s RiverEdge Park starting November 22, 2024. This year, the beloved German holiday market promises expanded offerings, festive events, and an array of vendors showcasing handcrafted gifts, traditional German food, and more.
Two Locations, One Magical Experience
Whether you’re a downtown Chicago native or prefer the suburban charm of Aurora, Christkindlmarket offers two destinations to explore. Daley Plaza’s market will be open daily, welcoming back cherished vendors and featuring new cultural events. In Aurora, the RiverEdge Park location is expanding, offering over 55 vendors, including favorites like Bearhands & Buddies and Chiya Chai. Aurora will also host its signature activities, such as the lantern parade and glassblowing workshops.
Holiday Fun for Everyone
Aurora’s market is stepping up its game this year with exciting new additions, including the debut of the heated Timber Tent, perfect for cozy gatherings, family celebrations, and corporate events. “We’re thrilled to create a festive space where families and friends can come together and celebrate the season,” said Leila Schmidt of German American Events.
