SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A Savannah State alum has spent his time post-grad helping SSU sophomores and juniors exceed. Monroe Thornton created the Thornton scholarship this year and awarded it’s first three recipients this fall. Thornton and first place recipient, Atlanta Griffin, joined Morning Break to discuss the importance of inspiring the next generation.
