Robots Join Sheriff’s Office in Georgia

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has introduced a new tool to enhance security: DEKA Sentry Robots. These six-foot-tall robots will patrol an adult detention center, conducting security rounds to improve safety for detainees and staff.

The robots are equipped with advanced technology, including:

  • Heat detection

Pilot Program and Benefits

The sheriff’s office is starting with three robots during a 90-day pilot program. Depending on its success, they may add more. The robots are designed to eliminate risks associated with human intervention in dangerous situations, enhancing overall security.
