Less than a week after pleading guilty to threatening to shoot his girlfriend earlier this year, Justin Sutherland is back in jail after allegedly violating a no-contact order.
Sutherland, 40, was arrested again Thursday afternoon by St. Paul police after allegedly violating his domestic no-contact order (DANCO). As of Friday morning, he appears on the Ramsey County Jail roster.
Police say an officer saw Sutherland at a Target with a woman who had a DANCO in place against him. St. Paul police arrested him after the two entered a Spirit Halloween.
On Monday, Sutherland pleaded guilty to one felony count of threats of violence in connection with the June 28 incident in St. Paul . The plea deal seeks a 360-day jail sentence, which would have been stayed for two years as long as Sutherland complied with his bail conditions.
His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 13. However, it is unknown how his plea deal may be affected by the alleged violation of one of his bail conditions.
The original complaint states that on June 28, Sutherland was seen threatening his then-girlfriend with a gun, saying he would shoot her.
