Jeffrey Deaton, an Army vet, came to the Plummer Home about five months ago. Deaton became the second Plummer Home vet to receive a makeover as he works to get back on his feet.

“It makes me, you know, feel loved, feel better, feel more important and all of this,” Deaton said.

As part of the makeover, Deaton was given a haircut, new clothes and running shoes. The items and services were donated by local veteran business owners from NG Salon, Chancellor’s and Big Dog Running.

“I think this is a great thing Kevin [Loncher] and the Plummer [Home] is doing, so just want to help where we can,” Big Dog Running owner Reggie Luther said.
