Acadiana is facing a first responder shortage. Fire and police departments in the area are losing personnel to other agencies around the state that pay better. First responders were honored on Friday, October 25, at the Louisiana First Responders Christian Association Hall of Fame gathering. It came as many fire and police departments struggle to recruit and retain personnel.
