Old Irving Park Lawn Transformed Into ‘Six Hags Boosment Park’ For Halloween

OLD IRVING PARK — A Northwest Side house popular for its elaborate Halloween decorations has brought a skeletal version of Six Flags to Old Irving Park.

The Six Hags Boosment Park has taken up residency on three front patios in the 3700 block of North Kildare Avenue, ready to entertain kids and adults.

The Old Irving Park Halloween display features amusement park rides like Skelly the Striker, The Bone Rattler roller coaster, the Wheel of Death and the Fright Flight swing tower. An archery target with a skeleton is spinning in the background, and a skeleton dog and human are at the park enjoying the fun.

Skeletons and witches enjoy the rides and games, including some waiting in line — and the wait appears long.

The current wait time to ride The Bone Rattle is about two to four lifetimes, according to a sign at the front of the line. But while skeletons wait, they can stop by the concessions, which has a “cauldron cooking recipes to die for.”
