Scott County Sheriff’s Office investigating after body found in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body found on the side of the road in Georgetown.

In a statement to FOX 56, Lieutenant Robert Tackett, Public Information Officer for the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies were dispatched to Lisle Road earlier today for a vehicle that appeared to be involved in a collision.

London man accused of child abuse

When deputies arrived on the scene, a car was reportedly found in the brush off the side of the road.

According to the statement, law enforcement also found a man’s body outside of the vehicle.

Scott County officials reportedly believe the crash could be connected to an overnight robbery in Lexington.

This is an ongoing investigation.
