Chaos erupted late Friday after a man convicted of murdering a teenage student during a botched robbery of Yeezy sneakers four years ago tried to attack the girl’s father during the sentencing in a Miami-Dade County courtroom.
Adrian Cosby, 22, leapt from his chair as the father of Andrea Camps-Lacayo read from a prepared statement and blamed his daughter’s death, in part, on Cosby’s upbringing.
“What the f… you talking about bitch,” Cosby said before leaping from his chair. It took about a half dozen police and corrections officers to subdue him. And as he was being hauled away, family and friends in attendance erupted with outbursts.
People in the crowded courtroom looked for cover and backed away as Cosby’s family and friends left and were ushered out of the courtroom. Only a few minutes earlier, a 12-member jury had found him guilty of first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and strong-arm robbery with a firearm.
