Two teens robbed in St. Louis; one while walking home from school, another while playing video games

ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after two teenagers were robbed Thursday in St. Louis. One was targeted while he walked home from school, and another was targeted while he was playing video games at home.

The robberies occurred within a mile of each other around four hours apart, but it appears they are not related, according to crime summaries from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

The first robbery happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Investigators say a 13-year-old boy was walking home from school in the 1000 block of North Grand Boulevard in St. Louis’ Grand Center neighborhood when he was robbed.

Police say a teen suspect wearing a ski mask, black jacket, and sweatpants approached the victim. The suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s backpack. The suspect was last seen running east across North Grand Boulevard.

The second robbery happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Investigators say an 18-year-old victim was playing video games at his apartment in the 3700 block of Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis’ Midtown neighborhood when he was robbed.
