Chabot College in Hayward, California, has announced a $5 million gift from former trustee Edward Martins, Castro Valley Patch reports. The largest gift in the college’s history will rename the school library in recognition of Martins and his wife, Donna, who earned a degree from Chabot College. In addition, the gift will fund numerous student scholarships and help establish two faculty awards for excellence.
