PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a cat was found abandoned at Roger Williams Park earlier this week.
The male cat was found on a walking trail in the park with a small carrier, which he was seen “desperately attempting to get back into,” according to the Providence Animal Control Center.
“He was so scared he ended up finding a hole in a tree trunk to hide in,” the Providence Animal Control Center wrote in a social media post Thursday . “He is now safe and currently with us.”
