Lubbock man behind bars after attempting to ‘abduct’ woman, court documents said

LUBBOCK, Texas — Rick Rehm, 27, was arrested in Lubbock on Sunday, October 20 after breaking into a home and attempting to “abduct” a woman, according to court documents obtained by EverythingLubbock.com on Thursday.

Court documents said Rehm forced entry into a residence. Inside the residence, the victim’s mom attempted to stop Rehm from getting to the victim. Court documents said Rehm pushed the victim’s mom down to the ground.

Rehm chased the victim to the back room where she had the door closed and locked, he again, forced entry into the room, breaking the door off its hinges. The victim attempted to run outside to the backyard, however, Rehm caught her and grabbed her by the neck, forcing her to walk to the front of the house where her car was parked.

Rehm attempted to force the victim into the passenger side of her vehicle. Court documents said while the victim’s legs were hanging out of the vehicle, Rehm “slammed” the door of the vehicle, causing injury to the victim.
