CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — This Sunday is National Black Cat Day, and the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is waiving adoption fees for 12 black cats and kittens. “Although it may seem surprising, black cats are often overlooked for adoption due to outdated superstitions,” said Taylor Reinson, director of animal operations at the CASPCA. “However, they are just as loving and friendly as any other cat, and we are eager to help these deserving pets find their forever homes.”
