Huskers without Tommi Hill, 3 others against Ohio State

The task for the Big Red on Saturday has gotten a little bigger.

Nebraska will battle No. 4 Ohio State without top cornerback Tommi Hill, according to the team’s availability report. He joins running back Rahmir Johnson, kicker Tristan Alvano and tackle Turner Corcoran as out Saturday for the Huskers.

Ohio State is without Aaron Scott Jr., Lathan Ransom, Reis Stocksdale and Will Kacmarek, as well as TC Caffey and Josh Simmons, who are out for the season.

Huskers head coach Matt Rhule said Thursday that Johnson would be out after he suffered a head injury against Indiana, and both Alvano and Corcoran have missed the past several weeks. However, Hill’s absence is a bit surprising.

After suffering a plantar fascia injury against Illinois in Week 4, Hill missed Nebraska’s next two games but returned last weekend against Indiana. It’s unclear if he suffered a new injury or is sidelined for another reason but his plantar fascia problem seemed to be subsiding.
