While the Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts winter weather predictions for Virginia will be slightly warmer than usual, there will still be some cold and higher-than-usual snowfalls. Virginia averages 17 inches of snow annually, although exact totals depend on where you live in the Commonwealth.

The coldest temperatures

The winter’s coldest temperatures are forecasted from the middle of January until the beginning of February and again at the end of February. January and February will see an average temperature of 30 and 27 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively.
