To conclude the vibrant 2024 DC Startup and Tech Week, Mayor Muriel Bowser, in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and 1863 Ventures, has announced a $1.8 million grant to 17 local businesses through the Inclusive Innovation Equity Impact Fund. This initiative aims to support entrepreneurs who often face barriers to traditional funding. “Through investments like the Inclusive Innovation Equity Impact Fund, we are helping more DC founders of color and women founders start and grow their businesses here in the Capital of Innovation,” Mayor Bowser stated in a Washington, D.C. press release.
