Meet Asiago, a tiny Chihuahua mix puppy who is eagerly waiting to find his forever family. At just five months old and weighing only ten pounds, this sweet little dog has already overcome so much in his young life. Born as one of six puppies to mother Elsie, the Chihuahua family found themselves abandoned on the streets of Houston, facing an uncertain future. However, thanks to the kindness of a volunteer who discovered the abandoned family, Asiago’s life took a dramatic turn for the better.
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a foster-based rescue organization in Massachusetts, stepped in to provide care and support for Asiago, his siblings, and their mother. This intervention has given Asiago and his family a second chance at life and the opportunity to find loving forever homes.
Despite his challenging start, Asiago has blossomed into a delightful puppy full of energy and affection. He’s described as having typical puppy enthusiasm and is in the process of learning essential skills like potty training and walking on a leash. One of Asiago’s endearing quirks is his love for being held like a baby when outdoors, showcasing his sweet and cuddly nature.
