NW Albuquerque pond undergoing maintenance

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is continuing to make improvements to Mariposa Basin Park on the city’s West Side.

The city said crews will be working to revamp the pond starting Monday.

The pond will be drained over the next few weeks, and new aerators will be put in to help keep the pond cleaner.

The city’s Park and Recreation Department said the fish and turtles will be removed and brought back when the project is finished.
