AZ Native American Reservations receive extra help fighting crime

Over the past four months, hundreds of unresolved investigations in Indian country have received enhanced investigative support, intelligence, and victim assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

According to the FBI, Operation Not Forgotten is a collaborative effort with the Bureau of Indian Affairs-Office of Justice Services (BIA). Field offices in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and six other states have been assigned dedicated personnel for this initiative.

Operation Not Forgotten emphasized assistance to cases involving children, sexual abuse, extreme violence and death investigations.
