PHOENIX – A hot weekend is in store, followed by a much-needed cool down!. Afternoon temperatures will blast into the middle to upper 90s with an official forecast of 99 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Yet again, the forecast is expected to set a new record for heat. The previous record was set at 98 degrees back in 2001.
