Mother, daughter hit by vehicle while walking to Upstate Halloween event

EASLEY, S.C. (WSPA) – A mother and daughter were hit by a vehicle while attempting to attend a trick-or-treating event Friday evening in Easley.

The Easley Police Department said around 7 p.m., a woman and her child were at a crosswalk heading to the Treats on the Street event in the downtown area when they were hit by a car.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, officers said.

The driver has been charged with failure to yield to pedestrians at a crosswalk and driving without a license according to police.

The driver’s identity has not been revealed at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Easley PD.
