Man shot, killed in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was shot and killed in Southeast D.C. on Saturday afternoon.

Police said that at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Alabama Ave. for the report of a shooting.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He was unconscious and not breathing.

Responders took the man to the hospital, where he died.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, according to police.

In an update on X just after 5:30 p.m., MPD posted photos of the suspect vehicle and asked for the public’s assistance locating it.
