VOLUNTOWN, CONN. (WJAR) – Fire crews throughout Connecticut responded to a 6-acre brush fire near the Shetucket Turnpike and Beach Pond Road in Voluntown CT. According to Voluntown Fire the fire started on state and private property in the woods off Route 138 and much of the fire is now contained.
