U.S. airline cuts two cross-country routes from East Coast to California, impacting airfares

JetBlue Airways will temporarily suspend direct flights from Sacramento International Airport (SMF) to two major East Coast cities: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City and Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston. This service interruption will take effect on October 27 and will last through the winter season.

A spokesperson for JetBlue stated that this decision is part of a “larger effort to refocus our network.” The airline emphasized that it continually evaluates its routes to enhance customer service, achieve profitability, and improve overall reliability. Travelers are advised to check for alternative flight options during this period.
