Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick henry has a reputation for being one of, if not the toughest player to tackle in the NFL.
At 6-foot-3 and 247 pounds, it’s easy to understand why.
Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah isn’t quite as big as Henry (he’s 6-foot-2, 221 pounds), but he’s by no means a pushover either. However, when the two collided on a second-and-22 play late in the third quarter of Sunday’s matchup, the former got the worse end of the exchange.
Both players appeared to be shaken up after running into each other, but Owusu-Koramoah had to be carted off the field and taken to the hospital to get examined while Henry remained in the game (he even scored the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter.)
As he was exiting the field, Owusu-Koramoah raised his hand to the fans to signal that he was OK —a good sign for players dealing with neck injuries as risk of paralysis is always the foremost concern.
“Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been ruled out with a neck injury,” the Browns posted on X. “He has been taken to a local hospital but has movement in all extremities.”
