Kentucky high school marching bands aim high at state competition

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Countless Kentucky high school marching bands competed in the state semifinals/finals in Louisville on Saturday. See how some of the Western Kentucky high schools placed.

The Kentucky Music Educators Association held both the Semifinals and State Finals of their marching band competition in Louisville on Saturday.

Webster County marching band earns first regional title since 2014

Semifinals Results

  • 2nd — Daviess County (Class 4A)
  • 3rd — Hancock County (Class 2A)
  • 4th — Madisonville North Hopkins (Class 4A)
  • 5th — Owensboro Catholic (Class 1A)
  • 10th — McLean County (Class 2A)
  • 11th — Webster County (Class 2A)

Final Results

  • 3rd — Hancock County (Class 2A)
  • 4th — Owensboro Catholic (Class 1A)
  • 4th — Daviess County (Class 4A)
