Springfield Thunderbirds faced off against Hershey Bears

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Thunderbirds faced off with the Hershey Bears on Saturday night at the MassMutual Center.

The Thunderbirds Reece Newkirk and Matthew Peca put the T-Birds up two to nothing in the first period, but it was all Bears after that. The Bears rallied back strong and fired back six unanswered goals, ultimately winning this one in a final score of six to two.

Springfield will look to get back on track on Sunday by traveling to take on the Hartford Wolfpack. The puck drop is set for 4:00 p.m.
