City of Charleston working to improve flood drainage at Huger and King Streets

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – An intersection notorious for being underwater may soon see some improvements because the City of Charleston is working on a major drainage project. City of Charleston leaders are constructing a new pump station at the intersection of Huger and King Streets. This pump station will significantly improve the capacity of the existing drainage system. This is phase two of a project that began in 2021.
